Although the world may be slightly obsessed with the 90s punk revival currently taking over the airwaves, Blackeye have broken away from the hype by taking said punk, stripping it down to basics and rolling it in glitter. They're exactly the kind of music you can imagine playing over the opening credits to an all-American coming-of-age high school movie (think Kim Wilde's Kids in America and Clueless).

Fast paced and full of angst; a deep bass, clashing drums and guitar distortions darken Chloe Little's sweetly ironic vocals that drip with the glacial cool of Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon. Growing Pains is their anthem for the "yoof' that includes lyrical gems such as "I couldn't give a f*** if you asked me to" and the apathetic "I guess I'm gonna let you in".
