ILOVETECHNO: The event is something special (10.11.12) what is your favorite number (or number sequence) and why? Is it superstition?
Joris Voorn:  "The moment I saw the first big poster for ILT 2012 I was speechless, you guys have the best date for an event EVER! My favorite number sequence is 13.02.2012, the day my first son was born. The 3 inbetween all 1's and 2's make it interesting, it's just off and imperfect which makes things interesting in life. I'm not a very superstitious person, but good numbers are great!"

ILOVETECHNO: What do you do before you go on stage ?
Joris Voorn:  "Make sure I've gone to the toilet, nothing worse than the feeling you have to go when you're 10 minutes into a 2 hour set."

ILOVETECHNO: What are you doing at I Love Techno this year?
Joris Voorn: "I'm thinking of playing a few tunes, should be fun!"

ILOVETECHNO: Who else are you looking forward to seeing at I Love Techno?
Joris Voorn: "It looks like I'm in the Red Room with some techno heavyweights that I all know personally quite well, so I'm looking forward having a good time with all of them."

ILOVETECHNO: What is your favourite techno track of all time?
Joris Voorn: "Basic Channel - Phylyps Track II"

ILOVETECHNO: What do you love about the I Love Techno festival? How does it compare to other festivals?
Joris Voorn: " I Love Techno has changed a lot over the years and moved away from techno quite a bit, there's only room with techno left at the moment, so I'm actually quite curious how it is in the other rooms. I guess I'll have to take a look this year and see how it is!"

ILOVETECHNO: Best I Love Techno memory?
Joris Voorn: "Playing my first record at the opening of the room at 8pm and having a big crowd running inside after they opened the doors was magical, before the record was finished the room was almost full and the party had started."

ILOVETECHNO: What are your big tracks at the moment?
Joris Voorn: "I've just finished a remix for the Swedish House Maffia which I love playing. I used the melodies, not the vocals, to keep things credible and cool, but it has a very epic but stylish break that has destroyed many dancefloors already."

ILOVETECHNO: Do you have any favourite new artists to look out for?
Joris Voorn: "We've just released a great EP on my record label Rejected by dutch artist Mulder. He has some very fresh sounds and idea, so definitely someone to look out for!"

ILOVETECHNO: What else have you got going on?
Joris Voorn: "I'm trying to find the time to finish my album, but touring and album work are two things that don't work well together. I'm reserving some time off in my touring schedule by the end of this year to wrap it all up though!"

ILOVETECHNO: What are the first thoughts that come to your mind when you hear the word "Belgium"?
Joris Voorn: "French fries, great beers, chocolate, and fantastic parties! The belgians know how to party, nuff said."

ILOVETECHNO: What is techno, to you?
Joris Voorn: "Techno is a feeling, just like house music is a feeling too but different. It's a mentality, opening your mind while the beat continues."
