Well we are over half-way through 2013 and the great British summer now and having had a fantastic start to the year with some amazing albums released, we at The Great Escape are always looking forward and so we have compiled a list of the most highly anticipated releases to come.

August 2013:

Woods - Be All, Be Easy
Single (05/08)

This limited release marks the shedding of their old skin and the beginning of their newly developed indie sound. We expect it to be filled with trippy guitars, surf drums and psych vocals.



Swim Deep - Where The Heaven Are We
Album (05/08)

Birmingham's Swim Deep bring chilled beach grunge to the forefront alongside Peace and Childhood with the release of their debut album Where The Heaven Are We. We're positive this will be your new favourite album of the year.



Shinies - Tangle
EP (12/08)

We are really excited to hear more from Manchester's finest shoegaze outfit with the release of their prettily polished pop EP.



Temples - Colours to Life / Shelter Song
Single (15/08)

This single is a limited US import from the neo-psych pop band. You will love the epic a-side before a blast from b-side Shelter Song filled with dreamy guitar melodies and catchy lyrics, expect to have this single on constant repeat.

Drenge - Drenge
Album (19/8)

Drenge duo Eoin and Rory Loveless release their self-titled debut album through their own label "Mad Mark' (via Infectious), be ready for great garage rock, furious etc. A Zane Lowe favourite!

King Krule - 6 Feet Beneath The Moon
Album (24/08)

King Krule, aka Archy Marshall, is set to release his debut album 6 Feet Beneath The Moon on 24th August, his 19th birthday. The album is an intimate exploration of youth, laid bare with melancholy and truth, we expect big things from this teen.

London Grammar - If You Wait

We wanted more and we will get more from London Grammar, but what do they have for us? A whole album of racing rhythms and tinkling keys overlaid with hauntingly beautiful vocals that will entrance you and capture your heart.

This album is going to be bursting with electro hip-pop with a pinch of indie just to mix it up some more. CHVRCHES have slipped onto the music scene this year with ease and success and so far it's been so good.
