Having pulverised Poland, and smashed Spain, the Sonisphere juggernaught tore through Switzerlands beautiful Yverdon-Les-Bains on a peaceful wednesday night like Godzilla on heat.

35,000 people decided to knock off work and and come watch Gojira, Eluvite, Motorhead, Mastodon, Slayer and Metallica play the mighty Black album.

Sun managed to reign down on the day. And the new site of Yverdon-Les-Bains was a natural home for the worlds largest touring rock festival. Atlanta's finest metal export Mastodon have been thrilling Sonisphere crowds across the continent with stand-out shows, So it's a real shame and we are sorry that their Sonisphere Switzerland show was marred by the sound desk literally falling apart due to the sub bass.

The evening ended with surround sound Metallica, not knowing which way to look as Metallica's snakepit brought the band literally out into the audience, so close you could touch it. Massive video screens and One's laser show made for a truly amazing finale.
