Sonar by Night includes a new stage this year: SonarCar, a unique space located next to the classic dodgem cars that have been an unmissable feature of nights at Sonar for years.

SonarCar presents a very special line-up featuring 6 showcases showing of a good proportion of the best of today's European electronic music.

On Friday 17th June, the new Sonar stage is occupied by three of the leading lights of the renowned Norwegian electronica-jazz label Smalltown Supersound (Annie, Diskjokke and Bjørn Torske), two emerging beatmakers from the new Russian scene under the title of Russian Beats (DZA and Mujuice) and the double helping consisting of the Madrid dark techno collective Natura Sonoris (Sistema, live, and Henry Sáiz on the decks). The line-up is completed by El Plan B de Carlos Jean, who will be starting the session off, and the set by the German duo Schlachthofbronx, straight from Diplo's Mad Decent label.

The second day at SonarCar, on Saturday 18th June, presents another three top level showcases: the first is by the French label InFiné, specialists in house of exquisite taste, with shows by Arandel and Rone and the session by Clara Moto; they are followed by the abstract and magnetic electronica of Stroboscopic Artefacts, an Italian label that is bringing two of its most important artists: Lucy and Dadub. And finally, one of today's most important groups, Britain's Night Slugs, a paradigm of the new trends in British bass music, with a live show by Egyptrixx and a very special double-headed session by the two bosses of the label: Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990. The Saturday line-up at SonarCar is rounded off by sessions by Aster (djs from Barcelona's Hivern label, kicking the night off) and the live show by Galicia's Noaipre, who will be bringing proceedings on the stage to a close with his ultradanceable rhythms.
