Gates opened today as the first fans arrive for this year's OXEGEN.

Excitement was in the air as fans streamed into the Punchestown campsites, equipped with all they need for a sensational weekend. By 1pm, there were already over 17,000 happy campers on site and there are 35,000 fans expected onsite by tonight.

Tonight campers can look forward to some fantastic entertainment.  The Tribute Stage features the best tribute acts including Jacko tribute act Man In The Mirror, Oasis homage Definitely Might Be and The Police Force.  The Tribute Stage will run from 6pm until 2am today.

The Nokia Live Stage, complete massive 100 sq m Full HD Screen, one of the largest mobile screens in the world, will feature DJs, VJs, a Festival TV channel, and 3D VJ Pioneers, NOVAK.

From 10pm tonight, Nokia presents full Visual DJ sets from the likes of MTV's Eclectic Method, 3D Disco, Arveene & Misk, thesmokeeaters, Dave Davin, Brian Maher, JB the Deejay, Lorcan Mak & Propaganda DJs.

Things are sure to hot up when the phenomenal Silent Disco returns to the blue campsite from 10pm-2am.  Take a tent full of OXEGEN clubbers, equip them with a set of wireless headphones, have two separate DJs broadcast to them live via two dedicated FM channels and watch as the surreal spectacle that unfolds!

With a host of other entertainment including a festival funfair and a selection of food from around the world, campers will kick off their OXEGEN weekend in style.

Fans travelling to OXEGEN are reminded to allow AT LEAST an extra 3 hours travel time to and from the site.

Please be aware that there will be at least a 90 minute delay exiting on site car parks at end of concert as Public Transport, Coaches and Park and Ride Shuttle Buses will be given priority.
