Fresh off of last month's Winter Music Conference in Miami, British trance trio Above and Beyond have a big year to look forward to. Not only is their summer calendar stacked with tour dates across Europe, but they are currently working in the studio on another album.

Speaking to MTV at WMC, Jono Grant and Tony McGuinness revealed that third member, Paavo Siljamaki, was busy in London overseeing both the production of the new album and the birth of his second child.

Previous albums by the trio have gone down in history as some of the most timeless pieces of music in recent memory and the boys will be working hard to ensure that this lives up to their usual impeccable standards.

It seems that Above & Beyond's popularity continues to go from strength to strength. In 2007 they were entered into the record books as they performed on a beach in Rio to a massive 1,000,000 people - a first in electronic music.

Following this, they were asked by Richard Branson to pen the soundtrack to the launch of his latest project - Virgin Galactic. This creation's aim is to take flyers to the edge of the earth's atmosphere in commercial flights. Above & Beyond came up with the track 'Buzz' under their Tranquility Base monicre - possibly a nod towards famous astronaut Buzz Aldrin - as a result which they performed during a DJ set at the launch party.
