The environment and sustainable development are crucial concerns for Dour Festival. Also in observation of all the problems problems encountered in previous editions, we rely on your own responsibility to make this 20th anniversary a pleasant experience for all.

The whole festival team is committed to follow a series of actions to reduce the environmental impact and ensure the cleanliness of the site over the 4 days.

A HUGE CAMPING SITE WHERE 32.000 PEOPLE HAVE TO LIVE SIDE BY SIDE

We won't have a special Green Zone again this year, dear festival friend, it is now the whole site that we wish to turn green!

Specifically:

An environmental charter will be signed and must be respected by all professionals and suppliers attending the festival.

For small problems, the Red Cross will carefully watch over you. To manage our waste, officers of the Green Cross will be there on the site, the campsites and the ECOZONES.

We're adding 400 extra bins.

The sorting islets will be increasingly visible on the site and campsites.

You will find a summary display clearly spelling out the sorting system in place by the sorting islets

We will increase the amount of waste collection.

An ECOZONE will be set next to each of the 10 bars. If you return 40 used cups or a 30-litre bin bag filled with waste (blue bon bags = BOTTLES AND CANS), we offer you a beer!

We will give away bin bags via the green cross and at the ECOZONES: they're free so don't hesitate to ask for some

The staff and volunteers will be trained to learn a better environmental management.

WHY NOT YOU?

Just a few simple actions will help:

Do not leave any rubbish behind!

Do not throw stuff on the ground!

Put them in the bins and use the bin bags made available to you for free!

Campers, remember to bring your bins to the closest bar whenever they're full.

Help us to improve our environment over time.
