The beautiful Cornbury Park, on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, played host for the third year running to Wilderness Festival (2013). This celebration of the arts, performance and music showcased some of the best talent from TGE13; from Melodys Echo Chamber to Temples and Nick Mulvey to Eliza & The Bear on a variety of stages.

From hot, sticky, sunny summer days to nights packed with vibrant music and dancers on the hillsides. Unlike most music festivals where the main music stage is the focus and consequently filled with people squished and squashed up close to the barriers; Wilderness punters pleasantly watch bands whilst relaxing on the grass after a day boating on the river or horse riding. Then they hit the bars, the valley and the roller disco to dance in a haze of glitter and feathers, masks of every shape and size and tails of every animal until the early hours. The beautiful and wacky blossom and become dirty stop-outs, inspired by circus-like aerobatics, unique Sh*tfaced Shakespeare acts and handmade crafts and vintage stalls.

One of the most impressive artists that shook the audience from their seats on the grassy floor was Tom Odell who wowed the crowd with his passionate performance, kicking his piano stool over and spitting lyrics before meeting and greeting with young fans after his set. The headline acts lived up to expectations and beyond as Empire of the Sun closed the first night with an astounding visual set lighting up the entire festival with colours and music. Saturday night saw the legendary Rodriguez have a magical affect over his already captivated audience following the screening of his documentary Searching for Sugarman at the Wilderness sleepover on the Wilderness stage the night before. His soothing voice filled the air and floated across the field to the bars and campsites before he sauntered off stage. Sunday's headliners made it impossible for anyone to resist singing and dancing to new and old tunes from London's own Noah and The Whale, before they finished the weekend on a beautiful bang with a spectacular firework display.
