Dan Croll is the electro boy with "one foot in the world of folk" who received a Beatles' seal of approval upon his graduation from LIPA (Liverpool Institue of Performing Arts) in the form of Paul McCartney's thumbs up. Hailing from Stoke-on-Trent, the former rugby nut shares his hometown with Robbie Williams and Slash, yet couldn't be further from either musical pole.
His single From Nowhere has been blasting over the airwaves since its 2012 release, infecting us all with its whimsical melodies, synthetic beats and sliding guitars, to the point that the 22 year old has already been awarded the Amazing Radio Zing Award (*cough* an award that we won Best Festival 2013 for *cough*). His second single Compliment Your Soul is due for release this week, cementing his position as one of the bright young things to look out for in 2013.
