A Ronnie James Dio tribute medley from Sonisphere headliner Metallica will appear on a tribute compilation to the late singer called This Is Your Life, which is released on April 1st.

Entitled "Ronnie Rising Medley' the riff-tastic tribute features a mash-up of four of Dio's tracks from when he was with Rainbow: "A Light In The Black', "Tarot Woman', "Stargazer', and "Kill The King'.

"It was fairly effortless to put this together, because it's something that we were all reared on," Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone. "I don't recall sitting there in a band meeting or anything deciding what to play. Somebody starts playing "Stargazer' - which is sort of just like something that's in our arsenal to jam - and then that whole period there, "Tarot Woman,' "Kill the King,' "A Light in the Black " - that's just really effortless to jump into."

Motorhead, Tenacious D, Anthrax and members of Judas Priest and Slipknot contribute other tracks to the tribute album.
