Sónar Barcelona adds 17 more performances to its program including a large quota of spectacular shows from: Pretty Lights, Flux Pavilion, Rudimental and Yelle; producers and legendary DJ's like DJ Harvey, Tiga and The Martinez Brothers; the experimental work of Ben Frost; and emerging figures redefining the landscape of electronica like Machinedrum, Laurel Halo, Recondite, UZ, Visionist, Alizzz and DJ Nigga Fox, not forgetting influential artists from American label L.I.E.S. Pretty Lights, Flux Pavilion and Rudimental form an integral part of the festival's quota of spectacular shows performed at SonarClub, the main stage at Sónar by Night. The most organic artist to emanate from the explosion of electronica in the U.S. is Pretty Lights, who at this year's Sónar will present his lush visual show based on his extraordinary Grammy nominated album.

Rudimental and Flux Pavilion are two of the UK's most popular champions in today's commercial dance music, combining pop and drum'n'bass. Rudimental's powerful live show at Sónar will feature 12 musicians comprising of MC's, organs, synthesizers, guitars, percussion and MPC 's. Meanwhile, Flux Pavilion (one of the most in demand dubstep producers and DJ's in Britain) will present live his sonic palette of sweeping hyperbolic bass lines.

The awe-inspiring Yelle (a genuine star of electro-synth pop and one of the most internationally successful modern French artists) will present a completely new show at Sónar, where she will showcase her charismatic personality during the live performance of her much-anticipated third album.

There will be no shortage of DJ heavyweights: Tiga has been given the responsibility of closing this year's festival on Saturday night, DJ Harvey wizard in the realm of disco, house, garage, electro and cosmic rock will present his usual master class, and The Martínez Brothers, the new ambassadors of New York house music, who are responsible for revitalising the genre.

From the Big Apple the rough and minimalist electronica label L.I.E.S. will also present their showcase. In just three years L.I.E.S. has built ??an impressive catalogue, already an international benchmark for low-fi house and techno. Performing live will be label chief Ron Morelli and Svengalisghost.

The renowned experimental electronica artist Ben Frost (an Australian now living in Iceland) has directed operas, composed music for the theatre, dance, visual arts and cinema. At Sónar he will present his new album supported by his on stage band, providing guitars, several large amplifiers and various electronic devices.

New talent will be represented by emerging artists such as: Machinedrum, UZ, Recondite and Alizzz as well as American Travis Stewart aka Machinedrum who will come to Sónar to present his "Live Vapor City Show".

In recent years, American Laurel Halo has created her own unique sound: lush, avant-garde, electronic and experimental. Halo experiments with techno, ambient, synth pop, drum machines, samplers, her voice, pianos, guitars and violins, among many other constituent parts.

The mysterious UZ is a true icon of trap, not only for his incredible talent but also for the mystery surrounding him. Never showing his face, his identity is unknown.

Visionist is one of the most promising and intriguing artists in today's British electronica. At Sónar he will present his unique take on the grime sound, including the ethereal elements, which place him at the forefront of the genre.

Recondite, a staple artist of the current scene in Berlin will present "Hinterland", his second album, inspired by the ecosystem of Bavaria and released on Ghostly International. It is an album of slow techno and house, with frozen and bleak textures.

From the global sounds arena, DJ Nigga Fox delves into contemporary electronic music produced in the suburbs of Lisbon. Dance music with ancient influences from Portuguese - African Diaspora, coupled with the more contemporary Kuduro, a type of tribal house with rapped vocals.

On a local level, Alizzz (alias of Cristian Quirante) is already one of 2014's rising stars.  Releasing an EP on none other than Diplo's Mad Decent label he is among this year's most talked about names.
