With RockNess just around the corner we thought it was absolutely necessary to give you a guide on how to survive this massive weekend. For seasoned pros you'll know the drill. But for those of you who haven't been before, take a look at what we advise you bring along to have the best amount of fun. Thrift shop/vintage fancy dress The fancy dress is going to be BIG this year - search the corners of Thrift shops and vintage clothing stores for the weirdest and oldest clothes you can find. 1950′s circle skirts and retro leather biker jackets will be highly respected. Fun hat This is the only time of the year where you can wear a ridiculously stupid hat and feel perfectly normal. Make the most of this grand opportunity. Plastic bags We have the privalige of being at the most beautiful festival in the world. Having a party in the valley with the Loch in the distance should not be taken for granted, and littering the site is not on. Bring some plastic bags for your campsite to have as a bin to keep our site looking gorgeous. Disposable camera We find the best times to look back on RockNess is when you pick up the disposable camera developments the following week. The person behind the counter producing them must be in fits of laughter (or shock) Snacks Not much beats a tent-feast at 3 in the morning when you've had a day running around RockNess. Crisps go like wildfire but are prone to tent explosion. Cereal bars will be a welcome munch, honestly. Stereo Take a small stereo/iphone dock to jam around the campsite with. Heightens the fun before you tackle the Nesstival and the main arena. Don't forget batteries! Anorak The potential chance of rain never gets RockNess down. Nothing to wear other than a soaking set of clothes does though. Sizeable tent For an around an extra tenner you can pick up a bigger tent than the small little 2 man. Makes a great difference. Sun lotion The sun will come out at RockNess, so sun lotion is strongly advised. There's always one sun-burnt lobster, don't let it be you. Toilet roll Bring it. Please. 2 pairs of shoes If you've ever been in the middle of the RockNess crowd at the main stage, you know you'll be saying goodbye to your nice clean shoes. Worth bringing a couple of pairs. Monday Bonus Bag Pack a bag with a full set of clean clothes, and don't touch it until Monday morning. You'll never be more thankful to put on a fully clean outfit. Binoculars Nessie might be out and about on Sunday, so bring some binoculars with you to catch a glimpse. Wet wipe A festival essential is the humble wet wipe. Ensure you are shower fresh all weekend regardless of the lack of showers. For practical advice on ticket information, ID requirements and so on click here.
