Dear rock fans,

In times of political impasse in Belgium, expensive natural resources and dangerous Libian dictators, Rock Herk is busy busy busy. We are content with our provisional government, change over to green energy, and at least we don't have to be in Libia the upcoming months.

Because, we are too preoccupied with the preparations of Rock Herk 29 on Friday July 15th and Saturday July 16th 2011!

Some 30 bands and dj's will bring their wall of sound to the audience. Following are the first names for Saturday.

SWANS
The most unlikely comeback of 2010 was without doubt the one of Swans. The most dirty and cool band of the eighties and neighties released a new album and went on a world tour. At Rock Herk, Swans will play an exclusive Belgian show!

BLOOD RED SHOES
Blood Red Shoes are on our wanted list for some years now, and finally they come. Raw rock "n' roll is the corebusiness of this duo from Brighton, England.

THE SORE LOSERS
No doubt, The Sore Losers will be the Belgian revelation of 2011. They mix rock, blues, folk and garage into a unique sound.

TWO GALLANTS
Duo, all the way from California, existing of both a brilliant drummer and guitar player. Think of The White Stripes but with a folk injection.

DIE!DIE!DIE!
Live sensation from New Zealand. They clutch wild guitars to an acrobatic stage act.

TITLE FIGHT
American punk and hardcore band. This year they release their first full album with the help of Walter Schreifels from Quicksand.

GOLD KIDS
Italian hardcore talent from Sardinia. Stupendo!

YOU LOVE HER COZ SHE'S DEAD
Duo from London with a great name and an excellent live reputation. Heavy electronic beats and stirred up vocals that remind of us of Crystal Castles and Kap Bambino.

You can tell, we are doing everything to prepare a very festive weekend. We hope you are too!
