Lovingly pinched from HellrideMusic: Where to begin with Bruce Lamont‘s solo project is an enigma because it?s like a prog / dark Americana folk / space rock / psychedelic / kraut / electronic / tribal collage that?s not only some of the darkest stuff I?ve heard in some time, but one of the best combinations of all that mentioned.

The opener has an almost jazzy and middle eastern vibe like Agitation Free with some trippy Amon Duul / Hawkwind and maybe some Cluster and Faust?I do believe it?s a saxophone behind the mix and it works here to give the right amount of exotic and dark atmosphere to the track. This is a total krauty space rock floating track and for its 12 minute life-span, it?s inescapable. This man does EVERYTHING and the result is TRIPPY!!!!!!!!

‘The Epic Decline’ picks up nicely where the opening, ‘One Who Stands on the Earth’ left off?somewhere in a psychedelic far-eastern or alien desert with the haunting sax and electronic drones serving as a backdrop. I?ll be busting out my Agitation Free Malesch tonight for sure and with the rain coming down here in boulders it?ll be the perfect night for it.

‘Year Without Summer’ is a dark folk Americana track that reminds me slightly of what U.S. Christmas does, it?s acoustic guitar and esoteric effected vocals painted across a canvas of electronic effects and Cluster / Tangerine Dream-like atmospheres. Another favorite of mine, and another plus for this release and credit for the mans talent. There?s some serious soul here folks!!!!
