Legendary American band Pixies will be one of the headliners of the next San Miguel Primavera Sound. The Boston band, formed by Black Francis, Kim Deal, Joey Santiago and Dave Lovering, reformed in 2004 after a 11 year hiatus.

Pixies' influence has been huge in alternative rock during the last 20 years, after producing key records in recent music history, such as "Surfer Rosa" or "Doolittle" which left a deep imprint in artists like Nirvana, David Bowie, U2, Radiohead, Arcade Fire or Weezer. Such influence has kept growing in time and burst in 2004 with their comeback to stages, as we experienced on their first European date at Primavera Sound 2004.

Pixies are the second band that has been confirmed for San Miguel Primavera Sound 2010, after the announcement of Pavement, yet one of the most important bands in the 90s and also one of the most influencial in the current independent music scene.

San Miguel Primavera Sound will take place on May 27th, 28th  and 29th 2010 at Parc Del Fòrum, Barcelona.

Full festival tickets for the San Miguel Primavera Sound 2010 are available at the price of 95 euro (+ booking fee), this price will be valid until the 30th of November.  From the 1st December the price will be 99 euro (+ booking fee).
