John Darnielle is the soul and only permanent member of The Mountain Goats, a project in which musicians of the calibre of John Vanderslice, St. Vincent and Jon Wurster have participated. Darnielle spent the nineties releasing limited editions of his records on cassette and 7 inches, but entered the 2000 with a change of direction, embracing hi fi and recording studios. This more recent period has produced fundamental records such as "Tallahassee", "The Sunset Tree" and the more recent "Transcendental Youth".  The concert will be a duo with Darnielle at the piano.
