The first artists took to the stage at 2pm.

Sixties inspired songstress Eliza Doolittle kicked off proceedings on the Main Stage giving fans the choice of a Justin Bieber or Aretha Franklin cover ? the crowd went for Aretha! In the Dance Arena, Ireland Rugby Star Cian Healy performed under the alias of DJ Church to an enthusiastic early crowd.

Fans were gearing up for a fantastic day of music, with acts such as Arcade Fire, Jay-Z, Fatboy Slim, and Simian Mobile Disco topping Friday?s bill.

The Coronas have drawn a big crowd to the Main Stage where they are currently playing a hit packed set.

Fun loving festival-goers were embracing the Fancy Dress Friday theme, with all manner of weird and wonderful costumes on show.

OXEGEN photographers are trawling the campsites for the most creative costumes, with the pictures being posted on the official festival website www.oxegen.ie where you can vote for your favourite ? with the top ten best dressed will win four VIP tickets for OXEGEN 2011!

Warming up for Sunday?s World Cup Final, OXEGEN also staged its own footballing derby. OXEGEN?s online communities battled it out on the pitch in the Red Campsite on Friday afternoon. The match was full of exciting moments and a goal was controversially disallowed, resulting in a call for FIFA to get involved and introduce goal line. The red team triumphed on penalties eventually.

This is the second year the teams have faced each other on the field. The idea of a derby between the two forums was originally suggested online, with the Official Forum team coming out on top in last year?s game. The clash comes ahead of the Netherlands V Spain final on Sunday, which will be broadcast at OXEGEN 2010 on the largest mobile LED in the world.
