Since 2010 our infamous pre-party has turned from a parking-lot-rave into the ultimate place to be for festival goers who are eager to start the festival on Thursday already. In the past, artists like Hercules & Love Affair, The Streets very own Mike Skinner, Santigold, Little Dragon, Crystal Fighters and Bonaparte opened the best weekend of the summer. The premiere of the pre-party at the Sleepless Floor in 2016 had Oliver Koletzki bringing lots of guests with him for a Stil vor Talent special.

With Fatboy Slim, one of the pioneers of the Electro- and Big-Beat-scene takes over the stage this year. With bangers as "Praise You" or "The Rockafeller Skank", Norman Cook blurred the lines between underground and mainstream. Fresh off celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut album "Better Living Through Chemistry", one of the most popular DJs and producers will finally make his long overdue Melt premiere, presenting a special four-hour journey through the electronic music in good old Sleepless Floor tradition. Exactly right in time to celebrate our birthday.

The official Melt pre-party is happening on Thursday, 13 July and is only accessible with a separate pre-party ticket. More artists for the festival opener as well as about 30 more artists for the Sleepless Floor will be announced soon.
