ILOVETECHNO: The event is something special (10.11.12) what is your favorite number (or number sequence) and why? Is it superstition?
Boys Noize: "My favourite number is 27. Looks cool and sounds funny to me (in German). Another funny thing is that all my 3 albums have the same release date. Everyone of them came out the first week of October 2007, 2009 & 2012 : )"

ILOVETECHNO: What do you do before you go on stage ?
Boys Noize:  "Mostly I'm checking my cd bag and going through all my music to make sure I know where which tracks are. Sometimes a little drink, you know..."

ILOVETECHNO: What are you doing at I Love Techno this year?
Boys Noize: "It's the 6th time in a row this year and i'm going to play out live for the first time. I'm so nervous,  I hope you'll like it !!"

ILOVETECHNO: Who else are you looking forward to seeing at I Love Techno?
Boys Noize: "SCNTST, Erol Alkan, TNGHT, Len Faki"

ILOVETECHNO: What is your favourite techno track of all time?
Boys Noize: "Not easy, maybe the full ep of Thomas Bangalter "Trax On The Rocks Pt.1""

ILOVETECHNO: What do you love about the I Love Techno festival? How does it compare to other festivals?
Boys Noize: "ILT is  very special to me. It was the first festival I played outside of Europe and it was the first time I saw a crowd beeing so much into my music and especially knowing my music just from the Vinyl you could buy. Ever since ILT has a place in my heart !!"

ILOVETECHNO: Best I Love Techno memory?
Boys Noize: "2006. Opening the room at 8 o'clock, people running inside like i'd sell fresh popcorn or so, and then singing along my techno tunes that nobody actually knew besides other dj's."

ILOVETECHNO: What are your big tracks at the moment?
Boys Noize: "My own hahaha. But yeah, D.I.M. made some very good tracks I play out, SCNTST's new EP is crazy, I really like that new Jaques Lu Cont "in the night" too."

ILOVETECHNO: Do you have any favourite new artists to look out for?
Boys Noize: "Again, SCNTST, he's so fresh and makes so much good stuff !"

ILOVETECHNO: What else have you got going on?
Boys Noize: "Chemical Brothers just did a remix for "XTC" which I'm going to release as the 100th release on Boysnoize Records I think : ) Jimmy Edgar, Chromeo & Girl Unit did remixes for "What You Want" as well. I'm trying to figure out when to release what etc.."

ILOVETECHNO: What are the first thoughts that come to your mind when you hear the word "Belgium"?
Boys Noize: "2 Many Dj's"

ILOVETECHNO: What is techno, to you?
Boys Noize: "I think it's more than just a certain sound, it's almost a lifestyle, like beeing a punk, not caring about what other people think of you, against the masses,  DIY !"
