With little over a month to go until the most metal-packed open air event in the country, here's a quick recap on why you absolutely don't want to miss Bloodstock Open Air 2011.


Experience the legendary Bloodstock atmosphere with 12,000 of your closest friends. Set in the the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire. Enjoy over 100 of the most awesome METAL acts from these shores and across the globe including the likes of MOTORHEAD, WASP, DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT, AT THE GATES plus some amazing UK Exclusive performances from bands that haven't touched UK soil in over 8 years including IMMORTAL, MORBID ANGEL, RHAPSODY OF FIRE and not forgetting first EVER UK performances from TRIPTYKON and POISON BLACK.

The party starts Thursday evening in the Sophie Lancaster Tent with live acts ACHREN, REVOKER and XERATH followed byAustralia's funniest comedian and metal loving fan himself STEVE HUGHES' as well as the man dubbed by Metal Hammer Magazine as "the most METAL comedian on the planet JASON ROUSE. But this is just the start - as the infamous Bloodstock METAL KARAOKE kicks off later in the evening with literally thousands of Metal heads wailing to the tunes of "Enter the Sandman' "Ace Of Spades' and so many more as hosted by THE 4 DJ's OF THE APOCALYPSE.


If your ear drums start ringing and you need to slow the pace then take time out hunting round the International Metal Market for that festival bargain of the weekend with traders attending from all over Europe to show you their unique offerings not to be seen elsewhere in the UK. Add to that the Dodgems, fast rides and more - and this is just the THURSDAY night warm up party!
