We did not take this decision easy. But now, when all our internal deadlines passed by, its definitve: AREA69 can’t take place this year anymore.

Firstly the location for which we already had signed a contract bounced. This happened mostly because of permission issues. Then we searched for alternatives feverishly. But failed. Today we have to accept that it’s not possible anymore to organize this event within this summer.

All the support and interest we received within the last months validated our idea and the concept of a European music festival “for grown-ups”. Big, outside and with live music. This means that now the work for AREA69 2011 begins. Within the next weeks we will fix the date, arrange the location for next year and maybe even contract first bands. In every case we will have all the key facts until the VENUS trade fair in Berlin in autumn.
