With less than two weeks to go until the arena gates open at Knebworth, we're excited to announce five more names rounding out an already crammed Sonisphere bill. Joining headliners Prodigy, Iron Maiden and Metallica are:

1.       DEMONIC RESURRECTION

Indian metal

WE SAY:
India's premiere black metallers were due to play Sonisphere in 2011, but the Indian Government scuppered their plans at the last minute.  They were so keen to play this year that they booked a UK tour around it. They then also sent us a copy of them as the cover stars of the most recent Rolling Stone India.  That's a massive readership.  So, we caved in. And they are ace!

THEY SAY:
" It's very hard to express in words how overjoyed we are to be playing at Sonisphere. After our visas being rejected in 2011 we were unable to play the festival and we were gutted so it's almost like everything coming full circle. This couldn't have come at a better time for us, our new album "The Demon King' releases on 13th July and we're stoked to debut material from it at the festival. The line-up for Sonisphere this year is outstanding and it's definitely a honour to watch Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Dream Theatre and Anthrax and the countless other bands. This is going to be legend - wait for it- dary."

2.       CENTIMENT

Other band

WE SAY:
It wouldn't be Sonisphere without InMe's Dave McPherson, Greg McPherson & Gazz Marlow and this time they are bringing the wonderfully adept Neil Howard & Mark Shurety along for the ride under the name of Centiment.

THEY SAY:
"Being asked to play such an amazing festival such as Sonisphere is the cherry on the cake of what's been such a fantastic year for us. We'll be destroying ourselves onstage in the name of metal & then making sure we have as much fun as possible throughout the weekend. Such an honour to be a part of one of the finest line-ups we've ever seen! We've created a monstrous abomination that we'd like to share with music lovers worldwide!"

3.       The Struts

Struts

WE SAY:
The Struts
back up their attitude with a rock & roll swagger that has already seen them open stadium shows for The Rolling Stones, destroy the Isle of White and sell out countless London shows. Finally! After too many years of waiting, a rock & roll band have arrived with the flamboyance, the style and, yes, the strut to match their unstoppable tunes. When was the last time a band wanted to be this glamorous? We don't know but we can't wait to see them kick things off in Bohemia on Sunday morning!

THEY SAY:
"We'll be fine handling fame. We're already massive rock stars in our heads. Only our circumstances will change and we can afford to go out more often."

4.       Scholars

SCholads

WE SAY:
Scholars
are a rock band from Hemel Hempstead. Having supported everyone from Twin Atlantic, to Pure Love, to Hell Is For Heroes and Hundred Reasons in their tenure, their career to date has been a birthing period for an album that brings all their live energy to the stereo - Always Lead, Never Follow.

THEY SAY:
"It's an honour to be playing Sonisphere, with some actual legends of rock. For most of this year we've been locked in a windowless bunker writing our next album, so we're chuffed to be invited back out into the real world. We'll emerge pale, anaemic, blinking in the bright British sunlight - but ready to bring the ruckus to Soni!"

5.       Boy Jumps Ship

BJS

WE SAY:
Or actually as someone else says: "Featuring choruses so large that you might have to get an extension built onto your house in order to accommodate them." Boy Jumps Ship have had much love from the likes of Kerrang! and Rocksound and we are pleased to bring their Biffy-inspired brit rock to Knebworth.

THEY SAY:
"We're incredibly excited to be playing the mighty Sonisphere festival this year. The lineup is amazing! To be mentioned in the same lineup as some of our favourite bands is a dream come true for us. Come and see us make some noise on the Jäger stage!"
