Metallica pulled out a storming version of "The Frayed Ends Of Sanity' for the first time live at Sonisphere Finland as part of their "Metallica By Request" tour. Finns rallied together as magazines, websites, prominent politicians, Jari Litmanen and even the founder of Angry Birds  put outside bitter rivalries to collectively vote for the track as part of the set list.

At every Sonisphere this summer fans can vote online to choose the set list Metallica will play at the show. Sonisphere Finland kicked it off with the following:
