Just because you're at a festival, doesn't mean you shouldn't put extra effort into how your hair looks. Here're 10 of our favourite approaches to hair we've seen at Sonisphere.

1. The Band Logo

Why not craft your hair into your favourite band's logo? Credit to this guy. He's a huge Opeth fan.

2. Show Your True Colours

The more colour at festivals the better as far as we're concerned.

3. Plait It While You Play

If you have long hair and don't want it to get in the way while you play, why not plait your tresses?

4. Don't Fear The Wig

If you're follically challenged, fear not. You can can always wear a wig. Like this chap, sporting a Heidi hairpiece and bra combo and bringing a sort of dayglo androgyny to proceedings.

5. The Gloomy Mohawk

It's weird, but not everyone who has a mohawk is happy all the time...

6. The Happy Mohawk

...but then there're more than enough happy mohawks out there.

7. Flaunt Your Credentials

If you work for the Red Cross, why not let everyone know?

8. Match It

Why not co-ordinate your barnet and go with the same theme with a friend or partner?

9. Make The Most Of What You'Ve Got

If you've got long, luxuriant curly hair, stand next to someone with shorter, less curly locks. And if someone points a camera at you, thrust your beer closer to the lens...it'll make it look like it's not just your hair that's bigger...your beer is too.

10. Get A Mane

If you can't grow a flowing mane in time, pretend with one of those fake horse's heads that are so fashionable popular at festivals. (We know, we know...you can't even see the hair on that horse).
