The battles for the most valuable hockey trophy Stanley Cup had a special taste to them this year - on the one side there were the Boston Bruins with Trencin-born Zdeno Chara, on the other there were Chicago Black Hawks with other Trencin men Marian Hossa and Michal Handzus, who is a regular visitor of our festival. He has repeatedly participated in interesting debates. We all wished all of them could get the Cup, but most of all, we wished it would be Michal, who had never been, unlike Zdeno and Marian, awarded one. And it really happened. Last night, Chicago won a Stanley Cup and Handzus has received a great honor when he lifted the cup above his head as the second to the captain Jonathan Toews. Michal and Marian, congratulations!
