Iceland Airwaves Kick Off

Wristband Collection

To collect your wristband, you need to do so at the Information Center at Skifan, Laugavegi 26.  It´s open  daily from 10:00 see more info here http://www.icelandairwaves.is/media.

Kings Of Convenience ? special wristband allocation

We will be distributing special wristbands for the Kings Of Convenience performance on Friday 16 October.  This is due to very limited capacity at Frikirkjan church.  This is of course only available for Iceland Airwaves 2009 wristband holders.  These special wristbands will be allocated on Friday 16 October at 12:00pm on a first-come, first-serve basis.  These wristbands do not cost anything extra but there is limit to one wristband per person

Slátur will team up with this years Airwaves

Sláturtíð is an experimental music festival hosted by the S.L.Á.T.U.R. composers collective. S.L.Á.T.U.R. is an association of artistically obtrusive composers around Reykjavík. The festival is held alongside and in collaboration with Airwaves. In the festival there will be premiers of experimental compositions from composers associated with the collective as well as special guest composers from both sides of the Atlantic.

sports competition in Hljómskálagarður at 15:00
