BLOODSTOCK is pleased to announce our ongoing support for TEENAGE CANCER TRUST. Last year, BLOODSTOCK and its festival goers raised our highest figure to date for TEENAGE CANCER TRUST - just shy of £7500, a £3000 increase on the previous year! We're now keener than ever to improve on that in 2014. BLOODSTOCK loves to break a record, especially for a good cause!

Jen Walker from Teenage Cancer Trust had this to say on last year's funds raising effort:
"On behalf of everyone here at Teenage Cancer Trust, I would like to extend a massive thank you. 2013 was our third BOA and best yet. It's an amazing event that continues to grow and we always come away thinking you won't be able to top it, but you continue to pull it off. It's a huge achievement in the current financial climate for a music festival to grow and improve in the way that Bloodstock has done over the last few years and it just goes to show that you can achieve anything if you are passionate about it. It's lovely to work with a team of people who really love what they do and its an infectious behaviour - you make working 3 long days at a festival extemely fun... the exhaustion doesn't even factor into it until a few days later! You've provided us with so many opportunities and it makes such a massive difference. Teenage Cancer Trust and Bloodstock is such a fantastic partnership and one we are very lucky to have. Not only have we raised more each year, but we have smashed our target of £5000. Thank you so much for making this possible. This money will help teenagers and young adults with cancer throughout the UK."

Bloodstock Founder Paul Gregory says: As a family run festival who has recently lost a young member of our own family to this cruel disease, we are deeply touched by the generosity of the metal community who give freely to such a worthwhile cause which is very close to our hearts. So from us, we'd like to extend a huge thanks to those who have shown their support over the years by giving to this wonderful charity and here's to smashing the record in 2014.

Look out for Teenage Cancer Trust's stall on site, go say hello and pick up a raffle ticket for one of the many great prizes planned for the weekend. The ever-popular T-shirt Amnesty will once again be running, so bring along any unwanted rock and metal tees to either donate on site, or if you want to clear your cupboards ASAP, email music@teenagecancertrust.org for details on how to help.
