We are pleased to introduce our first "TGE presents...' night in the run up to #TGE15, coming to London on Thursday 13th November. This is the first of a series of club nights which will serve as an opportunity for you to get a taste of what's to come at this years The Great Escape, taking place in Brighton from the 14th to the 16th of May, and which is celebrating in 2015 its 10th anniversary.

The event will be held Upstairs at The Garage (Holloway Road) and will feature a very exciting line up featuring Nottingham three piece Kagoule and London's Lake Malawi.

Kagoule are Cai, Lucy and Lawrence a band that despite being formed by three nineteen year olds have a very 90's grunge sound that you could only expect from mature acts with years of experience behind them. This cultivated sound perfectly combined with indie and punk melodies won them the opportunity to play at this year's Glastonbury's BBC introducing stage, as well as to go on tour with newly established bands such as Temples and Drenge.
Kagoule will take to the stage to present their recently released double A-side single containing the songs "It Knows' and "Adjust the Way', which will surely captivate the audience of The Garage. The BBC said about them that "their live set really is something to be admired - the fuzzy wall of sound created by their heavy guitar sounds and driven drums produces a true rock show"....expect this to be a great night.

Lake Malawi are a four piece from north London, who take their name from a line of a Bon Iver song, an artist their indie-pop sound takes influence from, as well artists such as Beck and Phoenix. Lake Malawi recently called into BBC London's Live Sessions, where they played their first single "Always June'. After the release of this song they were chosen by 30 Seconds To Mars to support them at their recent Prague show.
Lake Malawi are now working on their debut EP and will release their new single "Chinese Trees' on 1st December.
