It's September, we should all be in San Teodoro right now. Even though SUNANDBASS cannot happen,  we are still dreaming of San Teodoro this month. It's much harder to do nothing this year than we had anticipated, we miss you all dearly!

If you feel the same, then keep an eye on this page for SUNANDBASS music recommendations, updates, stories from San Teodoro and maybe even recipes!

Goodbye and THANK YOU!

Honestly, it was quite a spontaneous decision to ask everyone to join in on our week of sharing memories. Our legs and hearts were just restless facing SUNANDBASS Week 2020. It hurts thinking that it couldn't happen.
And it was so beautiful to see how many of you readily jumped in to create this special place for all of us over the past couple of days. At times more than 10,000 of us participated on Facebook alone. This is an incredible achievement and helps us all know that what we have together is something real, absolutely needed and big. All these positive reactions, kind words, skillful compassion we've witnessed and the radiant support, kind and generous, there for one another shows who we really are!

What we are is made of every single loving soul that shows up, big or small, like all the drops that make an ocean. Although we couldn't share all of the important moments and the massive contributions you made, we want to let you all know, we're aware of it and we hope we didn't create any suffering! We love you for being with us. It is your memories and contributions that make SUNANDBASS what it is! Please continue to share memories, whenever you feel like it. You can see if you can answer the questions we sent for the Q&A, comment you answers or just send them to our mail: info@sunandbass.net

It's a hard time for all of us that are in hospitality and events, and for those who are part of the club scene means we all miss the physical experience. We miss being able to express ourselves through music and get humbly dissolved in a crowd of like-minded souls. Nothing can really give us what we need right now, but we can support music by buying on bandcamp. And don't stop there, for all of us in loneliest "partysolation" simply reaching out, listening or commenting with honest and kind words, that's how we can support each other until our next gathering!
We can do hard things!

One love. SUNANDBASS family Xx

Q&A:
1)Do you remember your first time at SUNANDBASS?
2)How have you been keeping creative during corona and has it changed your approach to music?
3)Can you recall a favourite SAB moment from over the years?

San Teodoro:

It was a Mysterium, a secret society that shocked the locals. They wonder what is wrong with those people? The sound system seems to be broken, so much noise, they also dress strangely. Such aggressive music but really such serene and genuinely nice people? They buy all our Ichnusa from the supermarket, they enjoy eating out, apartments are left clean, many bottles aligned. So different from other tourists. It was not a bad start and slowly over many years sunandbass grew to be a part of San Teodoro: the week where the magic happens, a joyful gathering for everyone involved, a end of season celebration in September. Surely we miss you, all our friends and partners, all dear souls of San Teodoro. It's our first time since 2003 that we have to say hi from far away. See you soon! Yours, sincerely SUNANDBASS family! Xx

Cala D'Ambra

Cala d'Ambra We did it again, we're at the end of our magical week, in perfect peace and harmony. There's only one place and time that can keep us in this paradise balance; the final Cala d'Ambra sunrise. How do you describe this moment?

Secret Location:

Back in the early days, there was raves in the wild. We would walk the whole coastline to find this day party.. oh yes, there, the humming basslines guide us and as it's a holiday, time is irrelevant. We enjoy the walk, have a sip as we're getting closer. What's that now, blocking our way to reach the secret location party at Gianni Tamponi's Terreno? Will we make it?

Ripping Club:

You've had five heavy nights, although each one is getting better and better, maybe you need a break from the party? On your way to the beach it begins to rain and you receive the change of location message: "We're at Ripping tonight!" Will you rest or will you go?

Sardinian Culture:

Did you know - Sardinia's culture is rooted in the inland, not along its rocky coasts, and long sandy beaches? Some Anthropologists believe that it's due to rising neolithic sea levels. Others say it was to defend themselves from the sea people who some say ended many ancient civilisations along the Mediterranean Sea. Others believe it was the Sardinian warriors themselves, that ended the Mediterranean civilizations from Mykene to Askalon in the Late Bronze Age Collapse, as their depictions with a horned helmet and a round shield matches their own artifacts as well as Egyptian depictions. The question is not solved yet, some go even so far to link Sardinia to the lost Atlantis.

Locations of San Teodoro

What is your go-to SUNANDBASS dinner? It's almost the midweek and you might have to decide. A boat trip and restaurant, the agriturismo, aka the farm, bbq at home and you invite your friends over?

Ambra Day:

If you walk through San Teodoro you will see a funny mix of locals, SUNANDBASS fans and tourists! You check out all little stands and you end obviously - in front of Ambra Day, where Tourists peek inside wondering what that is all about. On the stage in the back is a drum and bass live show running big! Fellow sunandbass crew filling the whole space and in between Italian families (including the grannies) all dance along, everyone is welcome. Who's your dance partner?

La Cinta

Soft white sand, soul warming sunshine, gentle waves and a salty breeze gentle waves and the salty breeze! This is our little slice of paridase La Cinta. As you join the crowd it's almost meditative as the music begins to play. Who is with us?

Bal Harbour

These incredible pictures are instantly recognisable! It is our little paradise and don't we all feel so at home there. Pure exclusivity! The music is pumping, everybody dancing and singing along. What are you singing?

Ambra Night

Yeeeeeeaaahh, the moment everyone's waited for, the official start of SUNANDBASS, the most anticipated opening of Ambra Night. It's pleasantly warm, you had a great dinner with your friends and everything just falls in place... There's a sea of people waiting in line, but you're quickly inside equipped with your wristband already. Inside, you take a deep breath. What are your Ambra Night memories?

Al Faro

Yep, it was a long night at La Posta yesterday. But nothing will make you check in at the club...so you walk to the beach and laugh at the sight of good old Al Faro, it's still looks the same from back during the SUNANDBASS raves. From the wild times. You make it in time to the counter, wristband looks great on your wrist and then you head to the bar. What will you order?

Friday Night at La Posta

Fresh from the plane you step into the Italian "dolce vita'. Everybody is out and about in this warm summer night, and surely you follow the beats to @barLaPosta. There is a fabulous selection of tracks being played on the strangest thin sound system but it is always a night to remember. As soon as you step closer to the overcrowded place someone says to you: "welcome I was hoping to see you here!" Who is it? #sunandbass2020
