The festival's London trailer premieres the new show by Buraka Som Sistema, the performances by The Gaslamp Killer, DELS and Noaipre and the sets by Tiger & Woods and Benji B, all of them featured in Sonar 2011.

On Saturday 19th March, Sónar staged another A Taste of Sonar, the seventh in its history, in the Roundhouse in Camden, in London. The event was a sneak preview of Sonar 2011, which will take place between 16th and 18th June in Barcelona and on 17th and 18th June in A Coruña.??

It was a night in pure Sonar style, featuring an intense festival experience on a smaller scale -a taster with 9 top level shows. The concert by Buraka Som Sistema was the most acclaimed of the night. The Portuguese outfit premiered 3 tracks from their new album -which has yet to be released- and performed their excellent version of Neneh Cherry's "Buffalo Stance" live for the first time, giving the audience a high voltage show based on their characteristic syncopated rhythms designed specifically for the dancefloor.

Another high spot was the session by the North American dj and producer The Gaslamp Killer, one of the most iconoclastic and groundbreaking musical selectors today, who mixed a whole range of styles with his usual dexterity, and the performance by the godfather of UK garage MJ Cole, who breathed new life into his classics "Sincere" and "Crazy Love" and showed off the new gems of UK Funky, a scene in which he is considered one of the leading pioneers.

The programme was rounded off with shows by DELS (the new talent in British hip-hop) and Galicia's Noaipre (whose powerful beats caused a sensation on the Roundhouse's main stage), and sessions by Axel Boman (with an exquisite set of off-the-wall electronica), Benji B (displaying his well-known wisdom on the decks), Braiden (a master of dubstep language and its many ramifications) and Tiger & Woods (a mysterious duo fascinated by the spirit of cosmic disco). ?
