Further to the statement posted on our website earlier this week we would like to provide the following update. At this stage it still appears highly likely that we will be going ahead with SonarSound Tokyo 2011 at ageHa / Studio Coast on April 2nd and 3rd. We are in continual discussions with the venue and authorities regarding all health and safety issues and will make a final decision as to whether to proceed early next week based upon the following considerations:

- That we believe that the venue is absolutely safe to the extent necessary to ensure the maximum degree of safety for audience, artists and staff alike.

- That public transportation is adequate to ensure that there are no issues in getting to and from the venue.

- That we have a reasonable assurance that neither power cuts nor other measures that need to be taken into account, in order to deal with the issues in hand will effect the successful and safe running of the event.

- And of most importance, that we can turn the event to the advantage of the victims of the recent catastrophe in such a way that Beatink, Sonar, the artists and yourselves are in a position to make a positive contribution. We have already received offers of goods to sell at the event and donations from artists and companies that we are associated with and intend to build upon this to raise as much money as possible to pass on to those who have suffered.

In the event that SonarSound Tokyo does not take place we will be offering refunds to all who have bought tickets.

We sincerely thank you for your support and once again wish to pass on our deepest sympathy to all of those who have suffered or been effected by these tragic events.
