Pukkelpop Organization Made No Mistakes, According To The Hasselt Public Prosecutor

After a thorough investigation into the disaster of 18th August, the Hasselt Public Prosecutor has concluded that, in view of the exceptional weather conditions, Pukkelpop cannot be held judicially liable and will consequently not be prosecuted. Pukkelpop is now awaiting the conclusions of the investigation conducted by the civil liability insurer. Should the findings show that the Pukkelpop organization cannot be held liable, the damages caused by the Pukkelpop storm will not be covered by this insurer. The conclusions will also determine whether the Pukkelpop visitors will be able to file damage claims with the civil liability insurer. The Federal Government has already recognized the storm of 18th August as a natural disaster. Material damages will be compensated for, except for a deductible of 250 euros. The Pukkelpop organizers have previously announced that they will communicate about the future of the festival and answer all questions regarding tickets, food and drink vouchers etc. on 15th November at the latest.
