 A private foundation is being set up to benefit the victims of the disaster that hit us, to give everyone the chance to support the victims and their surviving loved ones by contributing to an independent support fund. Starting today, you can transfer your donation to the bank account of the 'Steunfonds Slachtoffers Pukkelpopstorm' (Support Fund for the Victims of the Pukkelpop Storm). The new account number for this fund is 001-6498434-92. The IBAN/BIC for international bank transfers is IBAN: BE12 0016 4984 3492 // BIC: GEBA BEBB. The full amount of every donation, large or small, will go to the victims. No part of that money will go to the Pukkelpop organisation. The articles of association for the foundation and the list of independent board members will be published online tomorrow to offer full transparency. Financial controlling will be guaranteed by an international bureau and the results will be publicly available. At the express request of Pukkelpop, the Fund will be independent and autonomous. Despite this crucial independence, Pukkelpop will stand ready, now and in the future, to make sure that the Pukkelpop organisation continues to provide the Fund with the practical support it needs. Everyone taking part in the establishment and operation of the Fund - now and in the future - is doing so from a sense of social engagement on an unpaid volunteer basis. Any initiative that can contribute to the Fund would be greatly appreciated.
