Ví?a Chromek, A Close Friend, Dies

"So why don't you do something about it?" was the answer I got from Ví?a Chromek after complaining about the music world in Slovakia. It was back in 1997...and that was the point when I decided to organize the first Pohoda festival. Ever since, Ví?a was by the festival's side as an advisor and a well-wisher and we had a nice ritual - every year on the first day of the festival Ví?a would call and say, "hey, Mí?a, are you in the bath again? Get up, you have a festival going on today..." Ví?a Chromek, a great and jolly fellow, the organizer of musical life in Uherské Hradi?t? and its surroundings, member of the band Mírový sbor, tragically lost his life. Ví?o, you have no idea, how much I would like to "do something about it". We send our heartfelt condolences to all the dear ones and friends and to our dear Ví?a we wish at least as much happiness and joy up above as he gave to everyone around. Thanks for everything, mate.
