The pioneering electronic headliner will be joined by Icelandic GusGus and the successful Danish bands Go Go Berlin and Scarlet Pleasure

Just before the release of the final poster for NorthSide 2015, four exciting new act are added including an electronic headliner in the form of Underworld, whose masterful music and phenomenal live shows helped move techno from the underground to huge commercial success in the 90s.

One of the biggest cultural phenomenons in England in the 90s was the movie "Trainspotting" that perfectly created a soundtrack to the youth culture featuring among others Underworld. The electronic group had already brought progressive house into the mainstream with "dubnobasswithmyheadman" but it was the single "Born Slippy .NUXX" featured on the "Trainspotting" soundtrack that made Underworld a world phenomenon and got everyone to shout "Lager, Lager, Lager ". They subsequently maintained their position as both groundbreaking and party-building through their wild live shows, which among other things could be experienced at the Olympic Games in London in 2012, where they arranged the music for the giant show at the opening ceremony. The scene is therefore set for a truly exceptional experience, when Underworld asks us to dance and delivers their sensational show Saturday night.

GusGus has since the mid-90s been one of Iceland's leading exponents of electronic music, and on their latest album "Mexico" from 2014 their sophisticated tech house is more melodic than ever before. The frisky group is, however, really at home when on stage, and last year you could experience them create a club atmosphere in the DR Concert Hall at an incredibly well recived concert.

The Icelanders will be joined by Danish acts Go Go Berlin and Scarlet Pleasure who both have been a fixture on P3 the past year with songs like "Castles Made of Sand", "Raise Your Head," "Windy" and "The Strip". The two rather young bands have over the last two years experienced skyrocketing success and are both highly experienced live acts already. So whether you are into rock or pop you have to take your hat off to their ability to pull the audience in, and get them to dance and sing along.

The preliminary line-up for NorthSide 2015 is now as follows: Alt-J, Ben Howard, Broken Twin, Calexico, Carl Barât and The Jackals, De Eneste To, Death Cab for Cutie, Earl Sweatshirt, FKA Twigs, George Ezra, Go Go Berlin, Grace Jones, GusGus, Incubus, Interpol, Jack Garratt, John Grant, José González, Little Dragon, Matthew E. White, MØ, Placebo, Sam Smith, Savages, Scarlet Pleasure, Seasick Steve, Spids Nøgenhat, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, The Black Keys, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Parov Stelar Band, Ulige Numre, Underworld, Wolf Alice, Wu-Tang Clan and Years and Years.
