They have been called the most important hip-hop group ever, and few groups are composed of as many members with successful solo careers as the Wu-Tang Clan from Staten Island, New York. The W has inspired everyone from Barack Obama and Jon Stewart to Kanye West and Eminem, and it is nothing less than amazing to be able to add them among the headliners for NorthSide 2015.

The nine man strong group has just released the album "A Better Tomorrow", which shows RZA, Raekwon, Method Man, GZA, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, Cappadonna, and Ghostface Killah in top form, and the album stands with ease alongside classics like the debut album "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)", "Wu-Tang Forever", and "The W".

- We have always wanted to have hip-hop acts on the bill, and earlier this year we had great success presenting A$AP Rocky and Jurassic 5 at NorthSide. But there can be no doubt that with the Wu-Tang Clan, we have moved up into another league. They are legendary, not just in hip-hop circles, but across all genres and can rightly be described as one of the "90s' most influential acts, says spokesman for NorthSide, John Fogde.

The nine rappers are joined by the critically acclaimed songwriter Matthew E. White, who'll release his second record in March of 2015, as well as the psychedelic Danish rock band Spids Nøgenhat, who has just won two Danish Music Awards respectively for Danish Rock Release of the Year and Best Danish Live Act.

The following acts are now ready for Northside 2015: Alt-J, FKA Twigs, George Ezra, Interpol, Jack Garratt, John Grant, José González, Matthew E. White, MØ, Sam Smith, Spids Nøgenhat, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, The Black Keys, The Parov Stelar band, and Wu-Tang Clan.
