Like every year, the Foundation 2 of Montreux Jazz Festival is organizing a solo piano competition at the Montreux Palace.
For this 14th edition, 33 young talents from 22 different countries have submitted their applications and 11 of them participated in the semi finals of July 8th and 9th.
The jury of the 2012 Parmigiani Montreux Jazz Solo Piano Competition Jury is presided this year by the Polish pianist, composer and producer Leszek Możdżer and composed of Mr Jean-Claude Reber (Director of the Conservatory Montreux-Vevey-Riviera), Me Francois Carrard (lawyer and Chairman of the Montreux Jazz Festival Foundation) and Mr. André Manoukian (songwriter, pianist).
 
The final of July 10th opposes the three finest pianists of this edition, Marialy PACHECO, Alex PRYRODNY and Cezara-Lucia VLĂDESCU.
