ELUVEITIE
Swiss folk-metal-maniacs ELUVEITIE started a new, aspiring and flourishing era of heathen metal - "New Wave Of Folk Metal" - with their output "Spirit", released in 2006, and turned everything upside down within the whole scene. Influenced by Celtic music and mysticism, this pagan circle reached to unite two total different styles. ELUVEITIE play traditional, authentic folk combined with modern melodic death metal in the classical Göteborg-vein. Nevertheless the band also concentrates on topics and stories behind their songs, which are about the daily life and the spirituality of the Helvetic Celtic tribe, like they did on their latest masterpiece "Everything Remains (As It Never Was)". They are about to release a brand new studio album in 2012 so expect the unexpected and look forward to a great show of ELUVEITIE at METALCAMP!

Local bands:

AVVEN
When you hear the mighty crunch of the guitars, and when the primeval sound of folk instruments fills your ears, you know you must be on board of the band Avven. The band, whose main source of inspiration lies in the world of fantasy, is one of the greatest surprises of the Slovenian music production of the day. Avven look for their expression in folk music of many cultures, creating a mosaic of emotions, and manage to remain themselves while drawing from the folk heritage. In the year of 2006 they surprised the public with the release of their first studio album Panta Rhei. It was well received by the listeners and critics alike. In 2007 they took part in the international Orpheum Newcomer music competition in Graz (AT), and came fourth in the group of 100s of bands from across Central and Southern Europe. After a couple of months break from the media and concerts, Avven released their long-awaited second album Kastalija, which took them to new heights. The fantasy world that is reflected in their music and lyrics is best experienced through their live performances that are a real visual treat, so do not miss this epic celebration at Metalcamp 2012!

BREZNO
It was the year of 2007 when somewhere deep in the woods, from under the strong roots of mighty oaks and beeches in the dead of the cold winter night the tranquillity was disturbed by an unusual happening. Something awoke. The hidden became visible... What many forgot emerged - at first dull and indistinct, then increasingly magnificent and impressive... From the dark depths of the forest the lost song rose once more... Brezno (The Abyss) was born. The beginning of the group foretold a period which connected the members of the band under the same ideology and offered them unforgettable moments of making music with roots, music which flows through their veins - the Folk Metal. In the past year the band started to spread their music among people in concerts throughout Slovenia and nearby countries. At the same time they also recorded several songs which can be found on their introductory CD called Viharnik. Band members search for inspiration in tradition of ancestors and narratives of old cultures. Through their lyrics they try to convey their values, beliefs and their view of a person and his/hers connection to nature. Celebrate the cult that is Brezno together with them at Metalcamp 2012!

DOOMED
Doomed was born after Mraz left MORA in March of 2010 and decided to follow his true passion, Death Metal. After not being able to find any members he decided to work on a new band alone and started writing songs for Doomed. In early June 2010, Uros Erste on guitar and Galena Jordanova on bass joined. Recording for their first EP: "From The Crypt" started in late June 2010 and was released on the 13th of September 2010. Matej Stefanic joined as a session drummer later on. Matej left in the beginning of October due to his student duties and Gorazd Ledinek joined Doomed as a permanent member. A series of very successful gigs followed. After the Metal Camp 2011 festival gig, Doomed decided to part with their drummer Gorazd due to the differences in interest. And so Ziga Zupanc stepped into his place. The Band is currently preparing for the upcoming gigs and writing new material for their upcoming LP. Make sure to check out this death metal thunderstorm!
