SABATON
Be sure, for the upcoming year of 2012 the state of emergency at METALCAMP is definitely preprogrammed: Panzer-battallion SABATON already prepares for a new military operation code-named "Hell Over Paradise", which won't give the metal-fans time for relaxing and sun-bathing, but which will take them on a trip through past battles. During the last years the Swedish heroes of war collected innumerable medals of success and finally occupy the top of the whole European metal-scene. SABATON's bombastic power-metal-hymns, which are characterized by hard guitar-sounds, vivid melodies and epochal choirs, obviously represent the true sound of glory. PARADISE LOST
After celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2008 with the release of their much praised live DVD/2CD "The Anatomy Of Melancholy", as well as exclusive live shows surrounding this event with Anathema and My Dying Bride, PARADISE LOST now return with the highly anticipated follow-up to 2007's "In Requiem": the brand new studio album "Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us". Since their conception in 1988, PARADISE LOST have not only founded the genre gothic metal with 1991's "Gothic", but also diligently defined and daringly transcended it. KATAKLYSM
Canadian Death Metal lunatics KATAKLYSM strike back with a tremendous deathlead-assault and overrun their supporters with an extreme venomenous sound-mixture, which is strongly oriented on the band"s roots. "Heaven"s Venom" is the title of the brandnew killer-opus, which impresses with razorblade-like guitars cutting through your flesh, massive bolts of bass chopping your head and ripping multiplex-rhythm. After almost 20 years of bandhistory, frontman Maurizio Iacono and his companions once again illustrate their individual "Northern Hyperblast"-style, which kills in a modern and uninhibited way. KORPIKLAANI
If you think that there are no reasons to celebrate within the dark metal-spheres, the heavy drinking forest inhabitants of KORPIKLAANI will disabuse you! This hilarious sextet delights with rapid metal combined with a lot of Humppa and other elements of typical Finnish folk music. On their current folk-metal-longplayer titled "Ukon Wacka" these bards care for familiar pagan party-moods and once more reach the top of excess. Sharp guitar-sounds and a wide-ranged diversity of traditional instruments create together a very special relaxed and hearty atmosphere for partying, so you just forget the run of time. HEATHEN
Are you ready for a hard lesson in metal-nostalgia? Friends of classical thrash metal get a reason to freak out now: Legendary San Francisco Bay-Area thrashers HEATHEN join the METALCAMP-billing to kick your asses at your headbanger's holidays 2012. These 80ties-heroes count to the classical bands, who once were responsible for the boom of thrash/speed metal. Their cult-albums "Breaking The Silence" and "Victims Of Deception", which are featured by musical refinement and virtuoso precision, are still high-ranked within nowadays metal-community. The legendary formation around guitarist Lee Altus gave a true star back to the international bludgeon-scene with their reunion in 2001.  Be aware of the retro-thrash-fever, which will gain currency, when HEATHEN perform on MC stage, giving you the rest with classical and brandnew thrash-material!
