With sober, fragile and captivating songs like "Riverside' Agnes Obel is scoring very good in the hit parades. After two sold-out concerts this weekend you can see her at work on Ghent Jazz Festival on July 15th. On that day Angus & Julia Stone and Absynthe Minded were already announced. With Agnes Obel on stage this day is complete, tickets for this day are only 25 Euros.

Al Foster, George Mraz and Fred Hersch will bring an homage to jazz and sax legend Joe Henderson. This day will be opened by the Quartet dal Cuoro ft. Paolo Ghetti, a project in collaboration with University College Ghent. This is high day for jazz enthusiasts and is being ended by the headliner Al Di Meola World Sinfonia ft Gonzola Rubalcaba which is being preceded by the magnificent Dave Holland Quintet.

On July 17th the British Red Snapper is our guest on Ghent Jazz Festival. We are really looking forward to their new album "KEY' which will be released this spring. That day a local band from Ghent, BackBack and the British trip-hoppers Morcheeba with vocalist Skye Edwards will be performing on stage. Many people are really looking forward to the headliner of the anniversary edition: Daniel Lanois' Black Dub ft. Trixie Whitley & Brian Blade.
