Ohne jeden Zweifel ist Adrian Sherwood einer der Pioniere im britischen Reggae und Dub. Seit den späten 1970ern hat er mit zahlreichen Legenden zusammengearbeitet, seien es Prince Far I, Bim Sherman, Lee Scratch Perry oder Mikey Dread.

ON-U Sound

Sein ON-U Sound Label war und ist die Heimat von Dub-Pioneeren wie Creation Rebel. African Headcharge oder Dub Syndicate, doch er hat auch jenseits der Reggae-Welt die unterschiedlichsten Acts produziert, gemischt und den Sound geprägt von Acts wie The Slits, Nine Inch Nails, Einstürzende Neubauten, Depeche Mode, Blur, Primal Scream, Leftfield, Coldcut oder Roots Manuva.

Beim Freedom Sounds 2020 wird Adrian ein ganz besonderes DJ-Set spielen, Freitagabend auf der Hauptbühne.

Godfather of British Dub

Adrian Sherwood is one of the godfathers of British Reggae and Dub. He has worked with numerous reggae big shots from Prince Far I, Bim Sherman, Lee Scratch Perry to Mikey Dread.

ON-U-Sound Label

His ON-U Sound label was and is the home of pioneering dub ensembles like Dub Syndicate, Creation Rebel or African Headcharge, but his work reaches far beyond the reggae world, having produced and remixed everybody from The Slits to Nine Inch Nails, Einstürzende Neubauten to Depeche Mode, Blur to Primal Scream to Leftfield, Coldcut and Roots Manuva.

At Freedom Sounds 2020, Adrian will play a special DJ Set on the main stage on Friday night.
