ARTS & RECREATION - more than just the music!

Here's a look at the first wave of acts for our ever expanding arts and recreation programme.  With our two campaigns - Love the Land, and Love Yourself - leading the way, this year's programme is going to be positively packed.  And this lot is just for starters!

SHOW ME THE FUNNY

COMING TO THE FARMERS ARMS

The absurdly entertaining Chuckle Buster's comedy takeover will return to Farmfest, holding court at our new venue The Farmer's Arms on both the Friday and Saturday.  They will be curating the best in stand-up comedy, mixing stalwarts of the UK comedy circuit, budding breakthrough acts and local favourites handpicked from the vibrant Bristol scene.

Headliners to be announced soon - watch this space!

Also making a triumphant return, Drag Queen Bingo will host an evening of high-jinks with comedy, bespoke prizes, cabaret, game show classics with a twist, and sass galore.  These queens will tickle your funny bone and bend your concept of bingo forever...

LOVE YOURSELF

This year we're passionate about providing more space and time for our fellow revellers to nurture their mental and physical well being across the weekend.

Hanni Rose will be bringing her Mindfulness Meditation Workshop focusing on relaxation, positivity and self-compassion to help you recharge for another day.

Mahadevi Yoga's yoga classes will be a celebration of mind, body and spirit; the perfect antidote to the stresses of modern life, and suitable for all levels and abilities.  You'll find classes for the little ones in the kids kingdom too!

Also joining us are Get Free Dance Therapy, bringing the beats to celebrate diversity and create inclusive, body-positive spaces that allow for complete freedom of expression.  Accessible to all, and bringing a sense of life-affirming joy to any occasion, expect big tunes and maximum vibes.

& GET THINKING

Bath's finest Protestival will joining us to critically engage with the interdependence of our world, and interrogate the systems of power at play. Activities across the weekend will include: physical theatre, discussion and talks and keep a look out for their pin the clitoris on the vulva walkabout!

LOVE THE LAND

Says it all, right? Farmfest wouldn't be the same without its gorgeous setting, so we're putting it first with workshops and more:

Join the sustainable fashion movement at the Swap Disco hosted by Betsy's Swap Shop. You'll be granted an item to swap by Betsy's random outfit generator; keep it or swap it as you dance and mingle.

<pstyle="text-align: center;">Or you can create your own festival tutu from reclaimed material with No Sew Tutu.  Super simple, no sewing (phew), superlative swishing.

The crafty folks at BUTTrFLY will be hosting a creative eco-workshop; drop in and learn how to make a reusable pocket ashtray out old tetrapak cartons in just minutes, providing smokers with an alternative to littering.

Plus a little joy around the site

Keep your eyes peeled for Beast of The Uncanny, as Bristol based artist Dorcas Casey brings her sculptures to life for this mysterious walkabout based on her animal-headed folk costumes which won the Public Speaks award in the Broomhill National Sculpture Prize. You'll stumble across these otherworldly creatures drifting around the site, perfectly at home in a field in Somerset.

FOR THE YOUNG ONES

IN THE KIDS' KINGDOM & ON THE GREEN

The kids' kingdom is going to be bursting with activities for toddlers to tweenies.   For all those budding thespians we'll have Brave Bold Drama's award-winning family theatre, and classes with Acting Out Drama, or A&H Music workshops and Ras King Bobo 1 for any maestros in the making.  Our official charity partners B Sharp will also be hosting jamming sessions and pop-up sing-alongs.

They can hone new skills aplenty with Flotsam the Fool's Circus workshops, Quantum Bob's Kung Fu Warriors, interactive storytelling from A Worm's Home, workshops with Eye Heroes, or just let it all go at the Duhig Family Disco.

For something a little more down to earth... there will be Kids Yoga with Mahadevi Yoga, and our other official charity partner The Somerset Wildlife Trust will be providing a range of hands-on activities from making Bug Hotels to seed bomb and guerrilla gardening.

Add to ALL THAT the The Annual Farmfest Hat Competition, roaming samba, silliness across the site, games on The Green... There's a whole lot more to be announced!
