Farmfest has always been a good party for good people, and good people love to do good things, so we are delighted to announce our campaigns and charity partners for 2019. Let's all party with a purpose and do a bit more good for the world and for ourselves!

LOVE THE LAND & LOVE YOURSELF

LOVE THE LAND with SOMERSET WILDLIFE TRUST

Global warming is a hot topic (pun intended) now more than ever; from refusing single-use plastic, to reducing our fast fashion habits we can all make a huge difference in reversing climate change.

FOr 2019 Farmfest is partnering with the SOMERSET WILDLIFE TRUST who has been protecting vulnerable wildlife and preserving Somerset's wild places for over 50 years. Their reserves holding of over 1700 hectares incorporates a diverse range of habitats from wetlands to woodlands, grasslands and meadows, and provide secure environments for a diverse range of wildlife such as dormice, Otters, Hedgehogs and Barn Owls.

On-site at Farmfest, Somerset Wildlife Trust will be running hands-on workshops and activities including making a bug hotel and seed bombs.

LOVE YOURSELF with B SHARP

Progress has been made in recent years enabling more people to come forward and speak about mental health issues and how they affect them and those around them. Farmfest is a safe space for all to learn to love themselves (and those around them) a little more.

This year we are also proud to be partnering with B SHARP who are passionate about building a sound future for young people through music. Their work is aimed at helping people love themselves through boosting confidence and self-esteem.

They offer a broad, inclusive programme of music, singing, participation, creation, performance and development from early years to adulthood, and to young people from a wide variety of backgrounds across West Dorset, East Devon and South Somerset. They build personal, social, enterprise and leadership skills so participants and our young workforce of music leaders develop as people, musicians and citizens.

Thank you to all the charities who applied to partner with Farmfest this year and to raise the awareness of the amazing work they do. Here is a list of everyone who applied, please take a look at their websites:

Thrive | Young Somerset | Feedback | ORT Bristol | Eye Heroes | Magdalen Environmental Trust | Music in Hospitals & Care | FRANK Water | Rethink Mental Illness | Trees for Cities | Drake Music | Temwa
