| [DE] THE ARTIFICIAL BANDBIO THE ARTIFICIAL ist eine Anfang 2017 gegründete Alternative Rock/Post-Hardcore Band aus Berlin. Chris (Gesang) und Nils (Gitarre) spielten zuvor bei Second-Hand Hero und Stop Eating Robots, die sich jedoch 2016 und 2017 auflösten. Im Januar 2017 entschied man sich dazu, einige Songs im Studio Mixberlin aufzunehmen und fand in den Neuberlinern Mathis und Clemens schnell Unterstützung an Bass und Schlagzeug. Erste Kompositionen zeigten sich nun rhythmischer und technisch anspruchsvoller, das Feuer wurde wieder neu entfacht und THE ARTIFICIAL war geboren. Die im Juli 2017 veröffentlichte erste Single ‘Free Fall’ stieß bei Berliner Rock- und Metalfans auf überaus positive Resonanz. Kurz darauf folge mit „Stages“ das erste selbstproduzierte Musikvideo, das ebenfalls für viel positives Feedback sorgte. Am 30.11. betrat die Band das erste Mal die Bühne als Support für SECRETS (US) und Our Home, Our Hollow (UK) im Maze Club Berlin. THE ARTIFICIAL startete ins Jahr 2018 startete mit einigen kleineren Shows in Berlin und darüber hinaus. Im Mai ging es zusammen mit VITJA (GER) auf die erste Festivalbühne, bevor die Band einige weitere Open Airs in Berlin bespielen konnte und Rob den Platz am Bass übernahm. Nach einem Support für AIRWAYS (UK) zogen sich die vier ins Studio zurück, um im Herbst DESASTERKIDS (DE) auf die Bühne zu begleiten und die nächste Saison mit energiegeladenen Live Shows einzuläuten. [EN] THE ARTIFICIAL BANDBIO THE ARTIFICIAL is a Rock/Post-Hardcore band based in Berlin. Chris (Vocals) and Nils (Guitars) had already played in local bands Second-Hand Hero and Stop Eating Robots, before those disbanded in 2017. In January 2017, the first songs were recorded at Mixberlin Studios and bass player Mathis as well as drummer Clemens joined the band soon after. Now, the compositions allowed for a more rhythmical and technically advanced style than before. THE ARTIFICIAL had been born. In July 2017, the release of the first single ‘Free Fall’ made for positive reaction throughout the Berlin rock and metal community. Before long, a self-made performance video for ‘Stages’ hit the web, further gathering praise among fans. Supporting SECRETS (US), THE ARTIFICIAL went on stage for the first time in November 30, 2017. Their energetic live shows have since attracted a growing number of fans who love the band’s superposition in melodic depth and rhythmic strength. The 2018 season began with Rob stepping in as a bass player, and the year has seen THE ARTIFICIAL play several open air festivals in and around Berlin. THE ARTIFICIAL hit the studio for the second time in July 2018, completing several new songs and shared the stage at a number of shows with, among others, AIRWAYS (UK), VITJA (GER),and DISASTER KIDS (GER). |
