| Bio Download Berlin based band Saudia Young & The Tough Lovers, play Rhythm & Blues, Noir Roots, & Rockabilly Blues. Young`s sassy strong voice, humorous stage presence, along with her gang of musical bandits 'the Tough Lovers' , have taken the Berlin music scene by surprise. Comparisons and references have included: Nina Simone, Tom Waits, Sugar Pie Desanto, Imelda May, Marlene Dietrich & Lucille Ball. Young grew up between New York and Los Angeles. Her combined family roots being a mix of Black American, Native American,Yankee farmers, political activists, story tellers & dreamers. Young's band members 'The Tough Lovers' are a motley crew of some of Berlin's finest musicians, Young started visiting Berlin in 2006 releasing two EPs: 'Artboy Love' & the self titled 'Saudia Young' and co-founding two theater projects: Lost Cabaret & Schwarze Liste Kabarett In 2006 Young won the lead voice-over acting role of Oskar, in cartoon series School for Vampires from Hahn Film . |
