Much Better, Thank You is an Art Folk Band from Germany. Airplays and reviews show a growing nationwide perception. Characteristic features of a MBTY song are varieties in metrical structure as well as in mood, always kept together by Heidi´s edgy voice. It changes from soft and delicate to strong with slicing heights, likewise Liz Fraser ( Cocteau Twins ) or Kate Bush, always expressive and independent. One can peg Heidi´s lyric soprano as elfish; it is extraordinary but expressive, changing between fragile and punchy. Time- and self-critical lyrics unite with a delicate sound and an often unusual song structure. The songs are tricky, sometimes straight and combine the feeling of a mourning dance with the power of rock. If you like Poems For Laila, PJ Harvey, Feist or Patti Smith you might also like the songs of MBTY and the melodies which won't leave you for several days. This is really independent, with the first tune anyway catchy. Unusual, but for shure never boaring.

Much Better, Thank You was formed in 2011 in the living room of the Angels (Heidi & Jens Engel) to relax with music and prevent an upcoming bournout syndrome. M. Posch joined in 2012. In 2014 Much Better, Thank You became a full band, with M. PL Pleitner on the bass and F. Frankenberg on the drums.
