Auf dem Flugplatz in Hildesheim findet jährlich das M'era Luna Festival statt. Mit ca. 25.000 Besuchern ist es neben dem Wave-Gothik-Treffen in Leipzig eines der größten Festivals der Schwarzen Szene. An zwei Tagen finden auf einer Open-Air-Bühne und einer Bühne im Hangar Konzerte statt. Nachts gibt es noch ein Disco-Programm. Das Musikspektrum reicht von elektronischer Musik bis hin zu klassischem Metal und mittelalterlichen Klängen. Zelten und Campen ist möglich.
