Father & Friend backs that claim right up. The song is a duet between Alain and his father Dane Clark, a retired clubsinger from Aruba (Dutch Antilles) who emigrated to Holland and over the years has fronted several popular R&B soul revues.
Father & Friend has become an emotional show stopper and at the time of this writing is poised to go to #1 in Holland. Alain says, "A good friend gave me the idea for the duet ‘reminding’ me that my dad's a fantastic singer, who brought me up in a musical environment. He asked if I'd ever recorded anything with my dad. Umm, nope! The result is Father & Friend, a celebration of sorts which has intensified our wonderful relationship."
