| Anquest, is a progressive, slightly symphonic- Rock/Metal band-from the North of the Netherlands. It was formed by Bass player “Tjeerd Hingst” and Drummer “Henk Hazenberg” in early 2010, when they decided it was time for something completely different. After having played other peoples music for almost three decades with people from all over the country it was time for a band which would take them back to their roots yet at the same time had a modern sound to it. It took them almost a year to find the right people to see their dream come true and at times they themselves had little faith. Fortunately for them the local symphonic, progressive band called TIMEXPOSURE fell apart due to personal differences. According to an old Dutch saying, one mans death is another mans bread, Henk`s oldest brother, and TIMEXPOSURE`S keyboard player and composer,” André Hazenberg” was asked to join forces with them. TIMEXPOSURE`S frontman “Mario van Veen” came along as well and thus two major obstacles were overcome with these very talented musicians. Together they knew, and found willing, lead guitar player of GODSPILL” René Feenstra” to join the band as well. From the get go René proved to be a force to be reckoned with. After two others could not unify their musical preferences with the new sound of Anquest, he came up with the exact right sound and riffs for the band. Now all problems were resolved and……….. THE EVIL ONE HAD HATCHED!!!!! In august 2015, Robbin Schingenga a young and gifted guitar player joined the band. In december 2015 Rene Feenstra decided to leave the band. Facing a new challenge, Anquest started 2016 with a with a new spirit. |
